Gameplay of The Diver’s Story Mode

Those who have played the Endless Ocean series before will be aware of how challenging the gameplay is. This game is actually very different from rescue simulators. This game functions as an interactive marine encyclopedia.

Story mode and Free Dive mode are the available modes. The game’s story mode, which starts out rather brief, serves as both an introduction and a lesson for how to play. If you finish the Mystery Board, you will be able to access each chapter, although it takes a very long time. In freediving mode, you will carry out research independently and allow yourself to be led to the discovery of a special life form called UML.

The intriguing thing is that there are remnants of a vanished civilization that you can touch. Don’t worry, AI and Daniel will go with you. You can scan a variety of sea species in single-dive or group-dive (online) mode. In the Shared Dive feature, there is no dialogue, and you must use digital codes to make buddies in the game.

Divers, Save the Undersea Coral World!

The impacts of climate change are increasingly evident. Extreme temperatures are an issue in various countries. So, Endless Ocean Luminous effectively utilizes its platform to educate players about environmental changes on Earth, particularly within the aquatic realm. With over 500 species, including previously thought extinct and mythical creatures, the game endeavors to meticulously catalog every marine animal. You will return your findings to Coral World, significantly impacting the ecosystem. With this mission, the journey over the Veiled Sea begins

Solve The Mistery Board

The most interesting thing about Endless Ocean Luminous is the Mystery Board. In the initial stage of exploring the Veiled Sea, there are 99 tasks that must be completed. The goal is to identify rare animals, find hidden treasures, and even solve increasingly challenging puzzles. Apart from the abundant fauna, the forms on display are also original. Of course, you are responsible for the explorer’s work to solve this mystery board.

The main means of interaction in this game is scanning. Where these scans give us the ability to gain more research points by absorbing “Light” from marine life. You can take a break from scanning to read interesting facts about the species. Each of your scan results is stored in the database and can always be accessed at any time.

Even though solving the Mystery Board is fun, the process is not without its drawbacks. At first, I didn’t get any clues at all. On the Mystery Board menu, all they show is “???” until you successfully solve the puzzle.

Additionally, you’ll need to complete all the missions on the Mystery Board before you can access the final chapter of the narrative. There will be new maps to explore as you complete the game by exploring different seeds. Maps are displayed methodically and contain some intelligence. This can be seen from every new map that is displayed always contains marine life, biomes, treasures, and mysteries that have never been encountered before.

Let’s Deep Dive With Your Friends

As previously explained, you can scan various marine species in single dive or group dive (online) mode to complete the Mystery Board in Endless Ocean Luminous. Shared Diving (online) can accommodate a maximum of 30 players, including you. In order to connect with each other, players shared their seed codes online with others after launch. This is where players can spend most of their time gaming. What’s interesting about this online series is that the game is very cooperative. Players can mark scanned creatures and treasures with various unlockable emotes. But highlight it on the map for everyone to see. This makes filling in the database and solving the Mystery Board easy.

When using the Shared Diving feature, no voice chat facility is provided. The goal is to remain realistic, but this is disappointing for some people. But, the game features several emojis and stickers that can be used on other players you pass while diving.

When playing online, of course there will be a decrease in performance. If you pay attention, the framerate, which is usually 30fps, drops periodically in busier areas or there are a number of other divers around. Fortunately, this does not damage the game in progress at all and the connection quality remains stable.
